Looking for an experienced barista to travel to Rwanda

A friend of ours is setting up a cafe project in Kigali, Rwanda and they are looking for  an experienced barista to help train local staff

Are you an experienced barista with a passion for good coffee, travel and training people?  We are looking for someone who can help to train our local staff in a new café opening in Kigali in August 2014 in Rwanda. Located within the only international book shop within this emerging and dynamic city, the café, which has a seating space  for 22 people – including a small roof terrace – and exceptional views over the city, will be a meeting point for the local and international community.

You will spend time training 3 staff members on how to make exceptional quality coffee, as well as having the opportunity to help source (and visit plantations and roasting centres) of some of the best coffee in the country. People with additional skills such as café management will be given preference.

Rwanda, the land of 1000 hills, and its clean and crisp capital Kigali offer a great insight into the emerging economies of Africa. In return for 1-2 month work (minimum 6 hours per day, 5 days per week equivalent), we will offer you full accommodation and a small monthly living allowance. Flights are not covered. If you are interested please contact [email protected] by 15 July 2014.

An August start date is preferable.
